This lab is where the physical and digital worlds merge - the heart of Africa BEDI. We lead the development and implementation of Digital Twins - dynamic virtual replicas of real-world assets and environments - to revolutionize how infrastructure and assets are designed, managed, and operated.

Our approach is hands-on, moving from focused pilots like the Hatfield Digital Twin to full-scale, real-world impact through UP Facilities Management and operations. Through a process of incubation and collaboration, we mature these digital models to support live operations, enhance sustainability, and improve efficiency. Beyond creating individual models, this lab is developing a comprehensive governance and knowledge framework to guide the ethical and effective deployment of digital twin technology across the African continent.
