Uniformity in appearance is important to choral performance. Individuality should be expressed during student’s clothing choices for school days, NOT at concerts—we are to look as one cohesive group! Therefore, all students will wear the designated outfit for each performance, which is called attire. No student will perform without the proper attire, which can result in a zero performance grade. The great thing is that you keep that uniform and you do not have to purchase another unless you grow. Students are fitted for the attire here at school.Uniform prices will be provided by the Choral Boosters in detail. Tux pieces may be purchased separately (if you already own one, do not purchase another one). For the dress option, you must buy the specific choral dress that we order as a group. Assistance can be provided for any student financially unable to purchase the proper performance outfit. All students are allowed to select either option - whichever they feel comfortable in.Through fundraising efforts offered through AFHS Chorus Boosters, students can reduce the cost of their attire. Fundraising information is provided by the boosters in the CHORAL BOOSTERS HANDBOOK along with financial aid requests.
Alterations: Traditional Tuxedos include alterations. Dresses, however, may require alterations.
UPDATE: Students will purchase a black tuxedo shirt instead of the white tuxedo shirt. For families just needing a black shirt, it will cost $32.92 (this includes, fitting, tax, shipping)
*Note: Students with the hybrid tuxedo will wear a black bowtie and cummerbund.
