The SLAF Ex servicemen's Association is pleased to convey it's heart felt gratitude to the 2760 Mr Betrum Fernando and his course mates for their good deed for providing a brand new wheel chair to 2769 F.Sgt Walter Wickramasinghe (Retd) at his residence at Koongodamulla Katana recently.
We, also thanked Mr George Mihindukulasuriya for his kind notification in this regard.
Mr Walter Wickramasinghe was a best athlete who won the national championship for 800 meters and 1500 meters races during 1964/1965.
His home town is Gampola and did his studies at the Thakzila College Horana prior to joining the Air Force.
Mr Wickramasinghe is a very kind and friendly Gentleman.
He was my JNCO at the Cmd Org section AFHQ in 1984
Once again thanked Mr Bertrum and his friends for this Worthy Deed.
We wish Mr Walter Wickramasinghe all the very best and speedy recovery.
