Welcome to my CSIT 101 E-Portfolio! This space showcases my journey as I explored the fundamentals of computing, including problem sloving, basics, and digital literacy. Throught this course I've developed skills in areas such as understanding how technology impacts everyday life, computer functions and how they work, and attention to detail and accuracy. Here you will find a collection of my projects, assignments, and reflections that highlight both my progress and the challenges I've overcome. I invite you to explore my work and see how my confidence and knowledge in computer science has grown over the semester.
HI! My name is Ashley, and I have 3 incredible kiddos! I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 9.5 years but, now that all my kids are in school it's time for me again! This is my first semester back to college after quite a long hiatus but, I am excited to jump back into it. Even my kids are excited and wanting to know what I did in school all day even excited to compare the work they had done for the day. My life truly revolves around my kids so I hope to be setting a good example by showing them that they can always finish what they put their minds too -even if it takes a while- a long while!
Reflection:
This semester really pushed me to think differently and step outside of my comfort zone. I learned how to approach problems in a more logical way, breaking things down step by step instead of getting overwhelmed. Along the way, I got hand-on experience with different tools and concepts that helped me better understand how technology works behind the scenes.
There were definitely challenges, but most of those moments helped me grow the most. I became more patient with myself and more confident in figuring thing out, even when things didn't work the first time. Overall, this class gave me a solid foundation and skills that I know I'll continue to use moving forward, both in future courses and in everyday situations.
Building my ePortfilio for this class felt like a step-by-step process of putting everything I was learning into one organized space. At the beginning, I focused on the basics, understanding what an ePortfolio is and setting up a structure that made sense for showcasing my work. As the units progressed, I added new sections, refined my writing, and learned how to present my skills and assignments in a clearer, more professional way.
By the end of the course, my ePortfilio felt like a real reflection of my growth throughout the semester. Each unit helped me improve not only technically but also in how I communicate what I;ve learned. Overall, it showed me how much progress I've made in organizing digital work, reflecting on my learning, and presenting myself in a professional online space.
