Educator End
Let's work together!
I would love to help use some of our technology and library resources to help teachers plan lessons. If you have an upcoming unit that you want to collaborate with me on, let me know. Please let me know far enough in advance so that I have enough time to prepare resources for an awesome lesson! If you would like to try one of the tools listed before and want support, I am available to help with that as well.
Websites to Incorporate Technology in the Classroom
Nearpod- https://nearpod.com/
Nearpod is an interactive option for instruction. There are lessons for different subjects and grade levels already created for use. You can choose to lead a lesson live or allow students to complete on their own pace.
Padlet- https://padlet.com/
Padlet is fun way to collect responses from students. Students can share images, links, or text depending on what the topic or question is that they're responding to. If you decide to set it up without registering the students, just remind them to sign their names if you need to know who is responding.
SMART Board Lessons- https://exchange.smarttech.com/
There are some great resources that you can use for lessons on your SMART Board. You will need to preview the lessons on the computer with SMART technology or the lessons may not open or display correctly. I recommend previewing lessons before doing them with students to make sure that it aligns with SC Standards.
SCETV Education Website- https://www.scetv.org/education
SCETV has free access for educators for curriculum and also recertification courses for professional learning. Curriculum resources include lessons and videos from PBS LearningMedia and https://www.knowitall.org/.
Kahoot!- https://kahoot.com/
A fun way to quiz or poll your class about something. You can also use it as an interactive study guide as well. You can search for ones created or make your own.
Google Classroom Quick-Start Guide- https://ditchthattextbook.com/the-google-classroom-quick-start-guide-tips-and-tricks/
Google Classroom is a great way to incorporate more technology into your daily lessons. Once you are used to using Google Classroom, it can also help you keep track of assignments and their grades. Here's a quick-start guide to help you out. If you need additional support, let me know and I will do my best to help you!
More Resources on Digital Citizenship- https://rmday.dropmark.com/1256487/30405321
This is a link to the "Tools for Educators" section on my Digital Curation of resources on Digital Citizenship. These resources are tools to help you teach your students how to be safe, smart and kind online. There is also a podcast and a book list that could be for teachers or parents found here: https://rmday.dropmark.com/1256487/30414599.
