The Hybrid Rocketry division is a group focused on further developing our club's knowledge and integrating more advanced concepts for competition use. This is done to allow other divisions to focus on competitions and improve current techniques while simultaneously preparing for the next step. The current focus our division has is on the development of a 10k ft hybrid propellant rocket that will follow the rules and guidelines of Spaceport America Cup. The hybrid propellant rocket is a Nitrous oxide/HDPE powered engine that will be designed, manufactured, and tested by the students of the division with safety, proper supervision and guidance. By the end of the project, we aim to have a thoroughly detailed process written from design to launch over how to create a hybrid engine for club use and reference as we reach new heights!
