Pandemic Reflection

A reflection, sparked by a conversation with eighth graders yesterday…


Two years ago, I was in a job I had comfortably enjoyed for almost 20 years, at peace with the notion that this was likely the path I was on until retirement. I was marginally capable with technology, but not really inspired to grow.


Two months later, we were being sent home for a couple of weeks in an attempt to get control of a virus that was poised to find its way around the world.


COVID-19 has taken so much from all of us: loved ones, connections, opportunities, experience, comfort, safety, and quality of life.
