Taking into account everything already stated on this site's home page ◰ in the 1980s and 90s, MS-DOS reigned supreme, and Clipper and dBASE were the go-to languages for database programming. While dBASE was interpreted, making it slower, Clipper compiled code, resulting in significantly faster execution. This, coupled with its ability to create standalone applications, made Clipper a popular choice for commercial software development.
During this era, I also developed several applications, including GTVideo for video store management and GestPos for point-of-sale terminals. These programs, written in Clipper and utilizing dBASE databases, tracked inventory, rentals, customer information, sales, and more. GTVideo, in particular, found success in numerous video stores throughout my city and surrounding areas, streamlining their business operations.
Although modern languages like Python and Java have since taken center stage, my Clipper applications, GTVideo and GestPos, continue to function seamlessly within emulators like DOSBox-X or in VM's. This enduring functionality serves as a powerful reminder of the longevity and robustness of well-crafted code. It's a testament and a reminder of many and varied things included (while the interface may seem dated compared to modern visuals, these programs remain robust and efficient tools for accomplishing a wide range of tasks) not only for me.

Then there's the Predator, the ultimate hunter. I've always been fascinated by their code of honor, their advanced technology, and their relentless pursuit of the worthy hunt. It’s a compelling look at what it means to be the apex predator, and the thrill of the hunt. I've always felt a special connection to the Predator; we both share that 'ugly but dangerous' aesthetic. And of course, there's the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. It’s a character that's part of me, and I think everyone knows it. I’ve always been drawn to the sheer, unstoppable force of nature that Godzilla represents. Its story is a powerful reminder of both humanity’s destructive power and our resilience. The thrill of watching Godzilla emerge from the depths to battle other colossal creatures is something that has never gotten old for me. And without any questionable doubt, of course I read the comics.

And, if you’re like me and happen to live in a place where nearby woods allow for hiking among trees, all the better: Evidence suggests that being around trees may provide extra benefits, perhaps because of certain organic compounds that trees exude that boost our mood and our overall psychological well-being. hiking involves something many other forms of exercise don’t: trails. That means it requires navigating in a world that’s not totally predictable. Slippery dirt, overhanging branches and hidden obstacles, trail markers, and wild animals crossing your path—all of the things you might encounter on a trail require micro- and macro-adjustments to your route, which is good for your brain, mine still is good to say I’m a hiker, maybe if you are one to we cross someday. Perhaps, maybe, who knows.. happens but everyone knows that nature is good for health and happiness. Getting outside is magical.

H2O Sovereignty: This year I collected 9,450 liters of rainwater. This figure is based on an average of 150 liters of rainfall per day in an area of 150 square meters, with a total of 63 rainy days.
Connectivity: My gateway to the world is a Tenda 4G05 router (running a Digi SIM for 13 months @ 31.12.2025), operating at a lean 5.4W (0.6A @ 9V). This represents a total annual overhead of 47.3 kWh for 24/7 connectivity—the backbone of my off-grid digital lab.
Digital Hygiene: A disciplined screen time of 1,052 hours annually—averaging just 2.88h/day. Proof that one can master technology without being enslaved by the "Matrix."
