Adaptation to Daycare: Starting Daycare means a change for both children and parents. It is a new and sometimes painful experience. We encourage a gradual adaptation of the children, in an open nursery where parents can enter at any time.
Child/Adult Relationship: We value individualized attention, establishing an affectionate relationship so that children can feel secure and progressively integrate into the new environment.
Child-to-child relationships: We create situations and moments in which children observe one another, awakening their sense of Self and awareness of Others.
Play: Social learning develops through interaction with adults and with other children. Through group or individual conversations, play, and games in the classroom or in the garden, we offer moments of constant discovery. ADECO provides children with opportunities to express themselves and experience new situations according to their individual characteristics, facilitating integration into the daily routine.
Rules and habits of coexistence: Mealtimes, hygiene, rest, and sleep are routines that support children’s initiative, promoting their autonomy and security. Through the daily care provided by educators, ADECO’s children learn the pleasure of communicating, socialising, listening, and laughing. We create moments of affection that, in addition to providing well-being, contribute to social learning and the development of habits of independence and self-confidence.
Transition to preschool: In Daycare, children have the opportunity to explore, experience, play, and share. They thus develop their full potential, strengthen self-esteem, resilience, autonomy, and self-control in the face of future challenges they will encounter throughout their educational journey. ADECO creates favourable conditions for them to succeed at every stage of their development. The final-year of Daycare (2-3 years old), children visit the preschool classroom once a week, giving them direct contact with the physical space and with the various materials available in the different areas of the preschool open classroom.
