10 TIPS TO KEEP THE BRAIN YOUNG
Fast walking - 30 minutes/day is a good start.
Play mentally engaging games, and do activities such as chess, bridge, learn a new language, learn new things, interact with people.
Avoid poisons such as smoking, drinking, recreational drugs... These increase your chances of getting Alzheimer's / Dementia.
Be social! Have a wide group of friends from all different lifestyles & ages.
Have a general purpose and a deeper life purpose.
Relax, meditate, read, do yoga, play Tai Chi, etc.Â
Partner with a doctor who is prevention orientated.
Protect your head. Wear a helmet when playing sports.
Eat the Mediterranean Diet (7 to 10 fruits & veggies per day).
Have a positive outlook. Stress shrinks the brain.
