Josefa N. S. Pandeirada is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. She is an affiliated member of the CINTESIS.UA and also a collaborator at the William James Center for Research.
My research activity formally began with my PhD project in which I investigated the implantation of false autobiographical memories. This project was supported by PhD fellowship awarded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
After graduating, I pursued with my research activity at Purdue University (USA) under the supervision of Professor James S. Nairne. It was during this period that I got involved in the research topic that has been of my highest interest since then: the investigation of memory from an evolutionary perspective. After spending two years at Purdue University I returned to Portugal (University of Aveiro) to continue my research where I remained as a post-doctoral student until 2013 (FCT fellowships Ref: SFRH/BPD/21534/2005; SFRH/BPD/81438/2011].
In 2013, I started a position as a researcher at the University of Aveiro under the FCT sponsored program 'Investigador FCT' [Ref: IF/00058/2012/CP0172/CT0002] which ended in June of 2018.
