ACORN builds people power.
There are two ways to make changes in the world: with a lot of money or with a lot of people. Power is the ability to act, and ACORN’s purpose is to build power by organizing large numbers of people. As an organization for low and moderate income people, ACORN is building people power for progressive change.
By now, you probably know the basics about ACORN Canada:
Where do you fit in? The more members, leaders, and organizers we have, the stronger we will be, and the more ability we’ll have to take action, win campaigns, and bring about the changes we need and want.
As an ACORN Leader, your role is to engage new and existing members on local campaigns. To do that, you need to know the basics about ACORN and our campaigns, and key skills for taking action.
