My name is Katie Austin and welcome to our website.
Currently studying a MA in Global Media and Communications at N.U.I.Galway, my course has now given me the opportunity to share my experience in combating climate change and developing a more sustainably conscious approach to every day living.
Having lived around the world from The United States to Germany, to New Zealand, I have seen first hand how different countries around the world react to and combat waste reduction,
My favourite adventure to date has been in New Zealand for the past two years. I had the chance of a lifetime to live and work on a 60-acre eco and eel farm. Caring for every sort of creature from an Alpaca to an eel, I learned the true value of what it means to be sustainable and ecologically conscious.
From growing and raising my own food to managing agricultural and wildlife habitats my list of experiences has been priceless and truly life-changing.
