1.) Bell Peppers
These peppers start out green and then mature to red, orange, yellow, purple, and even brown. Even if you pick them early, they will still change colour, but they won't get any sweeter!
2.) Blackberries and Strawberries
These berries provide tasty fruits for you and treats for butterflies and birds! These plants need pruning, which is especially important.
3.) Cabbage
Cabbage is easy to grow as it is a robust vegetable that is not too fussy! Even if summer arrives before you have had time to prepare to plant the seeds, you will still be able to plant mid-to-late summer and have a large crop!
4.) Cucumbers
You can grow cucumbers in the ground and in containers. If you add a trellis your crop will be more productive and healthier.
5.) Garlic
If you plant garlic during autumn, it will grow improved crops. Garlic needs cooler temperatures when growing or else the bulb-like heads won't separate into cloves.
