Teaching: Past, Present & Future
Now-a-days in most of the places Teaching gets least priority over both research work and admin. duties. Dr. Chakraborty gave maximum number of lectures among all faculties in his discipline. Average number of lectures given per year is more than 100 and average number of theory course per year is 3. Offered total 38 courses (18 different courses) to total 1648 students. 1352 lectures and 210 lab hrs in 11 years - Avg. (over number of students) TCF 4.4/5.0). Dr. Chakraborty started teaching in August 2010, without any prior teaching experiences, learned teaching while teaching only (that is generally the best way for learning anything!). Generally Dr. Chakraborty is alway able to attract almost 100% students to his classes. Generally good teaching require huge ammount of study outside the subject that one teaches - one has to study a lot and interact with people having good knowledge.
