Which of the following religions originated in South Asia and subsequently diffused to East and Southeast Asia?
A) Hinduism
B) Daoism
C) Christianity
D) Buddhism
E) Zoroastrianism
Answer is (D) Buddhism. Even if you didn't know this fact, you could use process of elimination. B, C, and E didn't originate from South Asia. Now the only answers left are A or D. Since Hinduism is mainly concentrated in South Asia (primarily in India), it probably didn't spread too far. So we can eliminate A, leaving us with D.
