Focus on risks with a probability/impact matrix rating of high/high, high/medium, or medium/high.
For our visually impaired and screen reader community: The below Probability / Impact Matrix displays the 10 potential project risks noted above as categorized into 9 separate blocks. The Y-axis (on the left) indicates the probability that a risk will occur with low being at the bottom of the axis, medium in the middle, and high on top. The horizontal X-axis indicates the level of potential negative impact that a particular risk has on successful project completion, with low being at the far left, medium in the middle, and high on the right. The risks are then assigned to one of the 9 blocks in the matrix with the block at the top right corner being the highest risk (the most likely to occur and the most disruptive to the project) and the block at the bottom left corner being the lowest risk (the least likely to occur with the least amount of negative impact). The risk that falls in the top right block, also first on the above list, is the potential of going over budget (project work hours). Two additional risks that fall in the block directly below this (i.e. medium probability & high impact) are potential changes to Title II of the ADA and the potential that the delivered resources will not meet the needs of CCB students. The risks in the bottom left corner are:
The inability to locate appropriate resources
The possibility of intra-team conflict.
