2026 Neighborhood Fall Party: Thank you to all of those who came to visit. We had well over 50 of our neighbors stop by this year!
ARENA Balloon Fiesta Volunteering
HI Neighbors, for the first time we are setting up a volunteer opportunity for all neighbors at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. If you decide to volunteer and work a six hour shift, about $72 will be donated to ARENA. There are two roles available.
1. Ticket Seller: there are two sellers (must be 18 yr old) per booth selling $20.00 tickets (cash or credit cards)
2. Ticket Scanner: each volunteer (must be 14+) scan tickets bought for entry into the park
There are 14 fiesta events over 9 fiesta days from Saturday, Oct. 3rd to the morning of Sunday, Oct. 11th. The morning shift is every day from 3am to about 9am for the mass ascensions. There will be plenty of hot coffee, hot chocolate, pastries and snacks ready at 3am. There are five afternoon shifts on Oct. 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10 starting at 3pm to about 9pm for the Balloon Glows and fireworks. There will be plenty of water, granola bars and snacks for the afternoon volunteers. You will be earning about $12 per hour for ARENA.

NO NEW FENCE at Prospectors Ridge Park (next to Georgia O’Keefe Elementary School)
From Tony Sparks, APS Facilities: “I have confirmed that Prospectors Ridge Park adjacent to Georgia O’Keeffe ES is City property, and APS will not be fencing off any portion of it. Also, I learned that where we have actual Joint Use Agreements with the City, those parks are closed off to the public during the school day, but re-open to the public on afternoons and weekends. Only fields within the actual boundaries of a school campus are not available for public use.”

Our only purpose is to keep this neighborhood an attractive and welcoming place to live and we need your help to keep doing that. Short-term Rental Hotline: call 505-465-7710 to report a problem with a residence you suspect may be a short-term rental (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.). They can investigate to make sure the property is correctly registered with the city and send a code enforcement agent to investigate.

About Us: We are a neighborhood association of 300+ homes and our only purpose is to keep our neighborhood an attractive place to live. We have 2 meetings each year; an official meeting in the Spring for business and board member elections, and one in late summer/early fall as a way to get to know our neighbors. We also promote a neighborhood-wide garage sale as well as other events. We ask residents to contribute $20 yearly to help pay for weed control in our medians, the printing of the postcard we normally send out twice a year, this website, our post office box, the advertising for our neighborhood-wide garage sale, our annual fall get-together, and more.
