Personal
I am a wife to my wonderful husband Jason Looney since 2008. I have three wonderful children Emma(11), Avery(8) and Parker(5) and a sweet rescue dog named Whitney. In my free time I enjoy running and training for half marathons and watching my kids in their various activities.
This will be my second year teaching at Theo and I am so excited to see what God has in store for me this coming school year.
I taught for 7 years in public school before staying home to homeschool my own kids. My youngest graduated with THEO in 2022, and my oldest graduated from THEO in 2021.
I have been at THEO for 4 years now and loved every minute I am there. I am the program director for Academic Adventures and also a teacher, so if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out!
I have a Bachelor's from Texas A&M in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Reading/Language Arts.
I am a Texas certified teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in PreK-6 Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I earned both degrees from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) I have a strong passion for helping children grow and bloom into the best version of themselves. I have cared for children for 10+ years, tutored for 8 years, and been a classroom teacher for 6 years. During the 2020-2021 school year, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year on my campus, a humbling moment that I will never forget. After several years serving students in the public school classroom, I felt the Lord tugging on my heart and leading me in a different direction. I feel extremely blessed that I get to continue my passion as an educator here at THEO, and I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s learning!
Personal: I live in Collin County with my husband, Brian, and our two youngest daughters. I love reading, playing games with my family, traveling, volunteering in several capacities, and, of course, teaching! Also, coffee…lots of coffee!
