Here are some pictures taken during the ABMO3 Symposium, we had an extremely constructive two days and the pictures witness exactly that. They are organized according to the program.


DAY 1 - 25 January 2018


Everything is ready to start, Dinuka stands next to the materials about to be distributed to the participants.






A moment of the talk "From Navigating the Mess to Managing Complexity" from the keynote speaker, Peter G. Knudsen, Head of Strategic Development at Nordic Service Group.






The first presentation from the scholarly program, where Dinuka B. Herath discussed "A Messy Evolution: Moving from Disorganization towards Plasticity" during Session 1 on Organizational Mechanisms.




This is Emanuele Bardone while presenting "The Abductive Nature of Inquisitiveness as a Variety-Handling Process" in the Session 2 on Methodological Enquiries.





Arguments were presented in "When Finding Appropriate Parameter Values is Challenging: Response Surface Methodology" by Raffaello Seri during Session 2, Methodological Enquiries.




"Defining the Role of Organizational Characteristics on the Emergence of Docility" was the title of the talk by Mehwish Mufti in Session 3 entitled The Plastic Individual (A).




Jens K. Madsen's talk on "Comparing and Validating Dynamic Cognitive Decision-Making Models in an ABM Using Fisheries Data" was also performed during Session 3 on The Plastic Individual (A).




PhiloLab Session 1 concluded the first day, with Peer-Olaf Siebers introducing and explaining what that is all about.



DAY 2 - 26 January 2018


Day 2 started with Martin Neumann talking about "A Framework for Exploring the Horizon of a Culture of Corruption" in Session 4 on Cultural and Institutional Elements.




Session 4 on Cultural and Institutional Elements also featured Siavash Farahbak presenting "Modelling the Institutional Complexity: An ABM Approach".

The final session of the scholarly program was Session 5 on The Plastic Individual (B), featuring Dale Richards with the talk "Exploiting Agent Plasticity from the Human Perspective".






The second presentation of Session 5 on The Plastic Individual 5 was that of Davide Secchi on "Human and Organizational Plasticity: A Cognitive Approach".





Results from the two groups working on two sessions of the PhiloLab were discussed by Peer-Olaf Siebers (in the picture on the left) and Dinuka B. Herath.
