WELCOME!

Hello Everyone! I am the band teacher here at Archbishop Jordan Catholic High School and I am excited to be conducting this wonderful group of students! I teach for three different schools in Elk Island Catholic. I teach classes at ABJ from 7:00 - 10:00 am before heading out to my next teaching assignment where I teach Beginner band and Jr. High Band to Holy Spirit and Ecole Our Lady of Perpetual Help students.

My bands have had the honour of performing on the Hollywood Stage at Disneyland and have experienced the recording world in Disney’s studios. We take annual tours to places such as Seattle, San Francisco, Kelowna, Victoria and Vancouver, BC. We've had the honour of playing on the Norwegian Princess cruise ship as part of the entertainment crew and most recently performed outside the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville (previous home of the Grand Ole Opry) and at Elvis' Graceland in Memphis, TN.

EDUCATION

I completed my Bachelor of Education at the U of S and also have completed two Graduate level programs. The first is a PGD in the Education of Exceptional Children (U of S) and the second is a GDRE from Newman Theological College here in Edmonton.

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

I have enjoyed presenting music, digital scrapbooking and core French workshops to educators in Western Canada and parts of the U.S. I have mentored numerous teachers as a tech lead teacher for Elk Island Catholic Schools and a Telus 2Lead Teacher in the province of Alberta.

I have served as the conductor of “Singspiration’s” Honour Handbell Choir at Concordia University College in Edmonton, AB. Earlier in my career I helped my students write and record a CD called “Holy Spirit Heat Keepin’ Green With the Beat”.
