About the project

ABC aims to achieve the following objectives

- participant schools' all teachers will be more competent in teaching basic skills,

- good practices, new methods and innovative techniques to teach literacy, maths and science will be

shared among European teachers,

- disadvantaged pupils and SEN pupils will be given more chance to learn basic skills using attractive

methods to them such as collaborative learning,action and games,

- low achievers in basic skills will be given more chance to acquire basic skills with the help of good

practices around Europe,

- all participant schools' curricula will be renovated and adapted as a result of acquired good

practices and skills,

- cultural diversity, multiculturalism, social inlusion and European Citizenship issues will be given

more importance at schools,

- participant schools will improve their European Dimension and be more international schools ,

- the respect for and the knowledge of culture of our own countries and Europe will be increased,

- innovative methods will be learned and shared among participants in teaching basic skills,

- the rate of early leavers from education will be reduced ,

- we will train all schools' staff on how to teach basic skills using traditional , digital, board, creative

and handmade games , drama , collaborative teaching, WEB 2 tools , apps , technology and

gamification,

- we will develop basic skills of pupils at pre-primary and primary schools and prepare them for their

future,

- we will improve basic skills of disadvantaged pupils and low achievers,

- we will learn more on the system of countries who are successful in PISA examination such as

Germany and Slovenia,

- we will make the parents and pupils acquire reading habits and

- communication skills of both pupils and teachers will be improved in their mother tongue and in

English as the language of the project.

The concrete results of the project will be

- Learning ,teaching,training activities of all teachers of participant schools on Development of

Basic Skills of Pupils (especially low achievers) using 1-Collaborative - cooperative learning,buddy

activities and music, 2- Drama and Creativity Activities, 3- Art,Digital Art and Videography , 4-

Technology and digital games , 5- Traditional,Board and Contemporary games and Music 6- Action

indoors and outdoors.

- We will also hold events and workshops such as European Languages and Cultures with Games

events, my culture book drama,science with drama,youtube Gamebasic channel ,project clubs with

pupils(disadvantaged pupils included) ,webinar ,etc.

Our priorities in this project are linked to our objectives directly as we aim to strengthen the profiles of

teaching profession of European teachers with the help of Learning,Teaching,Training Activities and

workshops, develop basic skills of all pupils especially the ones with disadvantages and promote the

acquisition of basic skills and competences using good practices and different methodologies.
