We hear you, and we want to make sure you get every single Ringgit you earn. We’ve received questions about how we calculate night shift trips—specifically how trips completed after midnight (12:00 AM – 1:59 AM) are counted.
To keep things fair and match how you actually work, we use a "Logical Night" system under our Night Drive Mechanics. This means your late-night driving is credited to the shift you actually started, not the next calendar day.
Below is the complete breakdown of how the Night Drive Mechanics work, how the midnight hours are calculated, and examples to guide you.

Eligible Regions: Klang Valley (Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya) and Johor Bahru.
The 2-Hour Midnight Buffer Rule
Drivers often ask: "If I complete a trip on Tuesday at 1:15 AM, why does it show under Monday?"
Your night shift doesn't end just because the calendar flips to a new day. To protect your earnings, any trip completed between 12:00 AM and 1:59 AM is automatically counted toward the previous night's shift.

Please read the following rules carefully to ensure your trips qualify for the weekly payout:
Definition of Week: The weekly calculation cycle begins every Monday at 08:00 PM and ends on the following Monday at 1:59 AM.
Final Booking Rule: To be eligible for the incentive, a trip's booking time must fall within the designated shift hours (8:00 PM to 1:59 AM). Trips accepted or completed outside these hours will not be counted toward the total.
Regional Eligibility: Trips must originate (pickup state) within Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, or Johor to be considered valid under these mechanics.
Status Requirement: Only trips with a final status of 'COMPLETED' in our system database will count. Cancelled, rejected, or reassigned bookings are strictly excluded.
Payout Distribution: Eligible incentive earnings will be credited directly to the driver’s Cash Wallet during the standard weekly payout window. AirAsia Ride reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts pending investigation into any suspected fraudulent activity or manipulation of trip data.
Right to Amend: AirAsia Ride reserves the absolute right to amend, alter, suspend, or terminate these Night Drive Mechanics and reward structures at any time without prior notice.

How it calculates: Because of our 2-hour buffer rule, those 2 early Tuesday trips are rolled back into Monday's shift.
Monday Total: 5 trips.
Weekly Incentive Earned: RM10 (for reaching the 5-trip tier).

Driver: Kak Rani drives consistently over the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night).

How it calculates: 7 + 8 + 4 + 2 = 21 total valid trips for the week.

Q1: If I take a job at 1:45 AM and finish it at 2:15 AM, does it count?
A: YES! Trips must be ordered/booked within the shift window (8:00 PM – 1:59 AM) based on our system's local timestamp. If the booking comes in at 1:59 AM, it counts!
Q2: Why did my Tuesday 12:30 AM trip not count toward my Tuesday total?
A: It counted toward your Monday night shift. We do this so all the hours you spend driving continuously through the night are grouped together into one single shift, helping you hit your daily targets easier.
Q3: Do premium or airport rides count?
A: YES! Under the current Night Drive Mechanics, all ride types qualify for the incentive, provided they are completed within the designated hours and regions.
Q4: When do I receive my incentive payout?
A: Incentives are calculated weekly (Monday to Sunday cycle) and will be credited directly to your Driver Wallet during the standard weekly payout cycle.
