The online environment makes it at times difficult to feel connected to one another. To facilitate the student-to-student interaction we will complete various types of interaction. To facilitate the instructor- to-student interaction, we will also complete various types of interaction together. Please see below.
Instructor will give detailed personalized feedback on essays, projects and presentations.
Instructor will respond to students work before the deadline (if submitted) allowing time for students to improve and re-submit homework to gain full credit on assignments.
Instructor will use standard rubrics with standard feedback for all homework assignments and discussions.
Instructor holds virtual weekly office hours at the same time as office hours stated above in syllabus.
Instructor emails announcements once a unit or more to students.
Instructor provides orientation, welcome video and welcome letter to students in first unit.
Instructor includes welcome unit in each module to guide students through each unit.
Instructor has created many “How To” videos demonstrating skills that students must complete to be successful in the course.
Instructor has created a Google Voice phone number for students to be able to call or text at any time with a 48 hour turn around.
Students are required to participate in discussions in each class.
Students are required to facilitate the discussion with academic and respectful questions and reflections on their peers posts by stated deadlines.
Students are required to provide positive constructive feedback on major assignments before final deadlines to encourage improvement on material, community building and earning the most points possible on all work.
Students gain specialized feedback from completing assessments throughout the class.
Students are able to share information learned with one another to participate in creating course content.
Students are able to provide anonymous feedback for improvement of their course and improve the delivery and effectiveness of all future courses.
Students are able to give other students advice on how to be successful in the course.
