Thursday, January 16th: Smart Home, Safe Home: Essential Tips for Securing your IoT Devices
My presentation at Code Mash was a new opportunity to explain the importance of keeping our homes safe. In my session, we explored how hackers gain access to our devices and then practical, actionable steps to protect smart home environments and prevent personal data from digital threats. This was my first technical talk and I enjoyed challenging myself to present on this topic!

Tuesday, September 17th: The Impact of AI on Student Learning and Development
I had the opportunity to speak at Columbus AI Week, where I shared insights on the intersection of AI and education. My presentation discussed the importance of AI reshaping education. Using data, case studies, and personal experiences I explored how AI is a double-edged sword. It was an incredible experience connecting with fellow AI enthusiasts and professionals, and I enjoyed contributing to the evolving conversation on AI's potential and challenges.
Thursday, July 18th: Cyber Hygiene Bootcamp: Understanding Cyber Threats for Adults
During the July session of the Empowering Adults in Cyber Safety series, I presented how to stay safe online and clean up information that may be vulnerable to people. This was an open conversation with guests, where we discussed what they could and should do.
Wednesday, July 17th: Safe Internet Browsing for Kids
During the July Kids Cyber Safe Workshop session, I taught students safe online practices. We covered topics of how to browse safely, watch online, play games, and what to do if you see something strange. In the end, we played a cyber safety bingo game I had developed.
Thursday, June 13th: Understanding Cyber Threats for Adults
During the June session of the Empowering Adults in Cyber Safety series, I presented the timeline of scams, cyber trends, and case studies. During this session, adults learned about the origins of viruses, and how fast they have evolved in the modern day.
Wednesday, June 12th: Unmasking Phishing Scams for Kids
During the June session of the Kids Cyber Safe Workshop I discussed with students how to recognize phishing scams and what to do if they encountered them. At the end we concluded with an activity where students roleplayed as hackers and victims.
Thursday, May 23rd: 2024 Central Ohio ISSA
During the 2024 Central Ohio ISSA, I discussed how to encourage students to pursue a career in cybersecurity. Relating to experiences of my own, what I wish someone would have shown me, and how to take proactive action I detailed what professionals could do to help students.
