The Climate Specialty Group hosts a number of webinars each year to provide an enriching experience for our members. Webinars focus on many issues relevant to CSG members, including how to foster an equitable environment in climate science, tips and tricks for graduate school, and the diversity of careers available to CSG members.
The AAG Climate Specialty Group hosted a virtual webinar to demystify the graduate school application and decision process. Dr. Kelsey Ellis hosted an insightful discussion between five current or former graduate directors. Topics covered include how to decide if graduate school is a good option for you, how to reach out and engage with potential advisors, and how to balance funding and cost of living.

As part of the 2021 AAG annual meeting, the Climate Specialty Group hosted a panel session called "Underrepresented Groups in Climatology". The panel, hosted by Victoria Ford, highlighted the perspectives and experiences of individuals of underrepresented groups in Climatology and Climate Science and discussed the professional challenges and the corresponding necessary actions of the AAG and other organizations to create a more equitable and inclusive environment in the discipline.
