Notices -
AGM - Will not be public this year due to Covid . All items for consideration should be passed to General Secretary by 12th Feb, 2021.
Following the recent COVID announcements and Northamptonshire moving up to Tier 4 and 5 this is just a brief summary of what this means for the club cycling activities:-
All club, group and recreation programme activities in England in ‘Stay at home’ Tier 4 areas are suspended.
Exercise and recreation:-
People can exercise outdoors or visit some public local outdoor places, such as parks, the countryside accessible to the public. You can continue to exercise alone, or in a public outdoor place with your household, support bubble, or with one other person if you maintain social distancing.
Ride routes are available to use at your own discretion and you can choose to ride the route solo or with one “socially distanced other”,.
We all need a little bit of motivation I guess!!
Tier 2 ride restrictions :-
A5 Rangers Cycling Club would like to remind our riders that we will not be riding to any COVID 19 Tier 3 or 4 restricted areas nor will we be including riders living in those areas on any club rides.
For information on relevant COVID 19 Tier levels within a 50 mile radius of Towcester, please refer to the GOV.UK link include herewith: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/full-list-of-local-restriction-tiers-by-area#tier-2-high-alert

With the restrictions on Time Trials being quite onerous it has been decided that the remainder of this years programme will be cancelled. - see Time Trials Tab
Club Rides / Socials are suspended until further notice> We hope to be back to normal as soon as possible but will be following government advice. Exercise especially outdoors is good for both physical and mental health so there is no need to stop cycling. Some of our favourite routes are available on Ridewithgps by searching keyword A5R - although the cafes may not be open.
South Northants Council is setting up a Community Hub to receive requests for help from vulnerable people and link them to volunteers who are able to support in fulfilling requests.
Would you please ask anyone who normally volunteers at your club whether they would be able to offer their support to us.
Examples of requests could be:
Delivery of local food parcels
Prescription collection and delivery
Support with on-line shopping,
Speaking to someone isolated and lonely over the phone
If your volunteers are willing to assist, please ask them to register through the Northamptonshire County Council Coronavirus volunteering page -
Thank you for any support you may be able to give us.
Kind Regards
Healthy Communities
