About
In 2019, my wife and I made the significant decision for one of us to be more present at home for our children. Leaving a school I had helped build, and the many students I had taught over the years, was one of the most difficult choices I've ever made. While I embraced my new roles as a stay-at-home dad and DIYer, I truly missed being an educator.
During COVID, many families reached out for support with their children's educational needs, and it quickly became clear that I would always be an educator, even outside of a traditional classroom setting.
I provide tutoring for all subjects from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have a particular specialization in working with students who faced the same struggles I did as a young student, especially those with learning disabilities like ADHD and Dyslexia. I believe the most effective way to educate students is by providing engaging and challenging lessons and activities while building a strong rapport. This approach is essential for achieving progress, and I am dedicated to helping my students grow their confidence and academic skills in every session.
Every student I've worked with has shown significant improvement in their standardized test scores. More importantly, they have developed greater academic confidence and comfort. Many of my students are, or were, on learning and reading plans. One of my proudest achievements as a tutor is helping these students transition off of those plans. Having grown up with Dyslexia and ADHD myself, I was on similar plans. I will forever be grateful to the incredible educators who helped me develop academically and boosted my confidence in the classroom; without them, I wouldn't be who I am today.
Tutoring has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me, and I genuinely love it! Working one-on-one with each of my students has demonstrated how much we can achieve together.
I have tutored students from first to eighth grade, each with unique learning styles and academic abilities. For more details on my tutoring sessions, please visit the Tutoring Sessions page.
