Forklaringen herpå er, at distancen ændres, når man ændrer på
breddegraden. For eksempel vil ændringen på Nord- eller Sydpolen
medføre, at afstanden bliver henimod næsten 0.
Det har ikke nogen betydning for opmålingen her-og-nu, hvis blot
afstanden rettes til de føromtale enheder.
Men vinklen bliver en anelse anderledes:
