Afrobeat artist Joseph Lanyo releases new single ‘Ye dze pé’, featuring Young Spit, on Valentine’s Day

Lanyo is excited to announce his first project of the year. “Ye dze pé” was recorded and produced in Joseph's hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. The song’s producer Cain @collectivelyunconscious laid the foundation for the musical mastery of this song.

“This song flows from a place of love and admiration, uniting all these moving parts helped piece the song together almost effortlessly,” states Joseph, noting this group of musicians worked together for the first time but their cohesiveness made it feel like they had been working together for years.

Joseph Lanyo creates unique songs with mesmerizing lyrics. He was born and raised in Togo, a West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea. Lanyo grew up speaking both Ewe, his native dialect, and French, which he learned as a second language at a young age.
