New Timetables
Stagecoach have new timetables starting Monday 14th August 2023
Full Stagecoach details are at: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/
The new 95 timetable is available to download below.
Some of the column headings are perhaps not entirely clear - Stagecoach have tried to simplify the timetable grid. Because of different school hours on different days there are often two alternative versions of a 95 trip - one version applies on school holidays and some schooldays and the other version applies on other schooldays:
The 14:40 from Leven waits at Waid Academy from 15:28 to 15:40 on Monday to Thursday schooldays - but departs at 15:28 on Fridays and school holidays
The 12:25 from St Andrews is different on Friday schooldays - waiting at Waid Academy until 13:20 and missing out Lower Largo - the alternative column that includes Lower Largo applies on Monday to Thursday and on school holidays
Similarly the 14:25 from St Andrews is different on Monday to Thursday schooldays - waiting at Waid Academy until 15:40 and missing out Lower Largo - the alternative column applies on Fridays and school holidays
Timetable changes include:
On Saturday the 07:08 from Elie does carry passengers between Leven and Elie - departing Leven at 06:35 and passing through Colinsburgh at 06:57 and Kilconquhar at 07:02
On Sunday the bus that departed Leven at 08:00 is retimed to travel 10 minutes earlier, departing Leven at 07:50 and passing through Crail at 08:55 getting to St Andrews at 09:25
And there are a long list of changes to late night buses which have a 95 bus passing through Crail at 01:00 on Monday to Saturday nights (Tuesday to Sunday mornings) or 00:15 on Sunday night (Monday morning) - full details are given on our Late Night Buses page.
There are further minor timetable changes to the Sunday service starting in June 2024 to help improve connections with trains in Leven. See our News page for more details.
You will see that the 2023 changes are mostly about improving the late night transport for people working late... whereas one of our campaigns is at the opposite end of the timetable - to help workers get to their jobs at the beginning of the day and to help with getting to early hospital appointments - see Making bus journeys better
