Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission open

The deadline for abstract submission is 14 April, 2024 (initially 31th March)

The workshop is hoped to be geared for Rock Physics toward the Energy transition challenge.

When submitting your abstract, please accompany it with the "abstract submission form" provided.

We encourage you to submit new and exciting contributions to the Rock Physics community and we kindly ask you to disseminate this information among other colleagues potentially interested.

In the event of requiring travel and accommodation partial support, please note that we are currently working to partially support up to 10 PhD/young scientists, under the condition of presenting a work.

In that event, please notify us as soon as possible in the relevant form and with an additional motivation letter.

Kind regards,

If willing to apply for partial reimbursement of travel and accomodation, please tick the relevant box of the form and accompany it with a motivation letter (p.2). Reimbursements will be decided by a specialised committee.

Note : For PhDs or young scientists (Post-Docs), particularly for those working in (and travelling from) a low-income or lower middle-income country as per EGU descriptions (e.g. https://www.egu.eu/news/877/egu22-registration-fees-announcement/, & the World bank classification), please note that efforts are currently made to allow for dedicated support funds toward a selected number of participants to reimburse part of travel and housing to participate in the workshop. Upon sufficient funds, rankings and decisions will be made based on country income, motivation letter and scientific quality.

In order to facilitate the final booklet, abstracts format should be 2 pages maximum, all included.
