Closet on the Road is a circular‑economy initiative addressing one of the fastest‑growing sources of global waste: textiles.
The project introduces accessible clothing collection points placed in public spaces where individuals can donate clothes, shoes, and other wearable items they no longer need. These materials are then carefully sorted and redistributed through partnerships with local associations and social organizations.
Items that remain usable are directed to families in need, while other materials are channeled into recycling processes that extend the lifecycle of textiles and reduce environmental impact.
By bridging environmental sustainability with social responsibility, Closet on the Road promotes a culture of reuse, reduces textile waste, and strengthens networks of solidarity within communities.
As one of the first initiatives in Palestine to address textile waste through a structured community model, the project highlights how innovative local solutions can contribute to global environmental challenges.
