Special Troops Battalion (CLOSED)

The 75th Regimental Special Troops Battalion (RSTB), activated in response to the evolving demands of the War on Terror, enhances the operational capabilities of the 75th Ranger Regiment and U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Comprising four specialized companies, RSTB conducts crucial functions including command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance to support joint special operations worldwide. Through its Ranger Selection and Training Company, RSTB serves as the gateway to the Regiment, assessing and preparing soldiers for service, while its reconnaissance, communications, and intelligence companies ensure operational success through specialized expertise. Since its inception, RSTB has maintained a continuous presence in combat zones, exemplifying its commitment to supporting Ranger operations globally.
