"What is one part of amateur radio you've always wanted to try but haven't—and what's stopping you?"
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the Wednesday Night 6 pm Net.
And don't just tell us what it is.
Tell us why you haven't done it.
Maybe it's equipment.
Maybe it's antennas.
Maybe it's your license class.
Maybe it seems too technical.
Maybe you don't know anyone who does it.
Maybe you just haven't gotten around to it.
Whatever the reason, throw it out there.
Because somebody else listening tonight may have the answer.

“The Best Advice You Ever Got — and Did You Actually Follow It?”
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the W1GLO Wednesday Night 6pm Net.
Last week I gave everyone permission to brag a little and tell us about something you're surprisingly good at.
And I have to say, that turned into a pretty good conversation.
So this week I'm giving everyone permission to do something potentially even more dangerous:
I'm giving everyone permission to be wise.
Tonight we're talking about advice.
Specifically:
What's the best piece of advice you ever received?
And there's a second part to the question:
Did you actually follow it?
9.16.26
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the W1GLO Wednesday Night 6 pm Net.
Last week we went looking for crankiness. I figured everybody has a few things that drive them crazy, so getting people to complain a little shouldn't be too difficult.
Well, apparently I was wrong.
Judging from the response, we may have assembled the most pleasant, patient and well-adjusted group in all of amateur radio.
Or—and I suspect this is closer to the truth—nobody wanted to get on the repeater and earn the reputation of being the resident grouch.
So tonight, we're changing course completely.
Instead of asking you to tell us what bothers you, I'm giving everyone permission to do something we don't normally encourage:
Brag a little.
Here's tonight's question:
9.9.26
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the W1GLO Wednesday Night 6 pm Net.
There are many things that people absolutely love; lobsters, classical music, and Harry Potter movies are a few.
Here's tonight's question:
Don't be bashful!!
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the Wednesday Night 6 pm Net.
Tonight I thought we’d get away from radio theory, antennas, propagation, artificial intelligence, and all the other technical stuff we usually manage to get ourselves tangled up in.
Instead, I have a simple question:
What is something you supposedly don’t need anymore…but absolutely refuse to give up?
Think about that for a second.
We live in a world where almost everything we used to own has supposedly been replaced by one little rectangular device we carry around in our pocket.
