Director:
The Research Director oversees the entirety of the sub-regiment's operation and is the de facto lead in all experiments. The Director has full access to Blacklisted experiments and can give permission to subordinates to engage in these experiments with good cause.
Oversee all experiments conducted by the Research Sub-Regiment
Enforce Research rules and regulations
Encourage activity and teamwork among all Researchers
Provide Guidance for any issues encountered by the Deputy Directors
Deputy Director:
The Deputy Directors of Research are the connection between the orders of the Director and the rest of the Research Battalion. They are the second in command to the Director and are trusted to keep Research orderly in the case of the Director's absence
Enforce the Research Rules
Keep track of promotions
Oversee Researcher experiments
Keep Researchers active
Researcher Supervisor:
Imperial Research Supervisors are among the most elite Scientists and are expected to Perform many experiments and help lower ranks with theirs. Research Supervisors are highly looked up to and should serve as an example to the lower ranks.
Perform experiments often, and try to include other Researchers in them
Host Tryouts to grow the Researcher Sub-Regiment
Assist any lower Researcher ranks with any questions or issues they may have
Researcher:
Imperial Researchers are seasoned Scientists who are trusted to help guide new studious minds toward great scientific breakthroughs. Researchers are expected to help grow the Sub-Regiment with tryouts while continuing to pursue their scientific endeavors.
Host Tryouts to grow the Researcher Sub-Regiment
Assist the Enlisted Researcher ranks with any questions or issues
Senior Scientist:
Senior Scientists are experienced Researchers and have increased freedom in their experiments. Senior Scientists make great Research partners and assistants for those just starting in the Sub-Regiment. They have the ability to model their test subjects during experiments.
Oversee Experiments done by lower Scientist Ranks
Can model people during experiments
Scientist:
Scientists are the next step after Junior Scientist and no longer require supervision for normal experiments. Scientists are expected to perform and log as many experiments as they can to expand the knowledge of the Empire.
Log any and all experiments conducted
Work and communicate with other scientists on experiments
Junior Scientist:
Junior Scientists are the lowest rank of Researcher. After performing and logging an experiment or after 1 hour, Junior Scientists are eligible for promotion
Learn how to conduct Experiments by working with those around you
Study the SOP

Framing tests
To begin research you must first determine what the research is about and how results are measured. You could potentially implant a bionic eye but you wouldn’t know the results unless you tested their vision first.
Finding subjects
You can call on comms looking for Subjects for experiments for money or ask around if anyone wants to be a Test Subject. Before you start doing tests on them, make them sign a waiver saying anything that happens to the Subject is not the Researcher's fault and falls on the Subject, then after they sign it pay them and start performing your test.
Performing tests
When performing tests make sure that you have something in mind to do and have some sort of plan. If the test might go wrong then have Rescue Squadron to guard you when doing the experiment and if there aren’t any online ask Shock or IF if they can guard the experiment. If you fail a roll don’t reroll just RP it out. If something goes wrong with the experiment and you get arrested or interrogated it’s your own fault and medical will not help you.
Results
By now you may conclude your test. If the patient survived, interview them to find out how this changed their life, and let them know to inform you if anything new appears. If they failed to survive, or are now deemed a threat to the Empire, you should have your standing guard execute them. You may not execute them yourself.
Note: You can log experiments of Gaminglight forums in ISD Research Logs or in a Document this is a good way to get promoted.
Description:
Therapy is something that anyone in Imperial Research can do, it’s just like a checkup but you help the person solve any personal problems that they might have if it’s Mental or Physical. It's your job to come up with something to help them if it’s a drug or an experiment.
Gathering People:
If you would like to do therapy you can do 1 of 2 things, 1 go around the ship asking if anyone would like therapy or 2 do /comms Medical Research is now doing Therapy in Medbay if you would like Therapy to come down to Medbay.
This is the format for ISD Research Forums or if you make a document:
Lead Researcher:
Researcher Assistant(s):
Test Subject(s):
Experiments Name:
Targeted Results:
Actual Results:
Procedures Performed:
Experimental Outcome:
Note: You don’t have to log your experiments in forums or in document, but it is encouraged if you want promotions and if you log your experiments in a document or on the ISD Research Forums you would get more credit than if you just logged it in discord logs
