SPS is proud to be a Smart Families School. We are dedicated to helping our community prioritize family and delay smartphones. It is the mission of Smart Families to empower families to build communities that engage with technology in a healthy, intentional way that is respectful of our innate human dignity.
When families come together against the pressure of screens and distractions, we make more space for strong relationships and lasting values. Be on the lookout for more information about this new program for SPS.
Upcoming Events
September 11 @ 8am and 6pm - Guest Speaker: Dr. Jodi Hunt on Neuroscience, technology and child development
The evening meeting will include dinner at 6pm, PATS Club business meeting at 6:30 and Dr. Hunt at 7pm
When you attend either meeting you receive:
Entered into drawings for school swag and one prize for $500 SPS tuition certificate
Credit for 10 volunteer service points for each family in attendance
Every family that attends receives a pass for Sweats Day on Sept. 15

I am the lead for Smart Families for 1st and 2nd grade! I am so excited for this opportunity and I hope you will join me in building this incredible program into our lives! We all know technology has its benefits, but it crucial we have a balanced tech life for our kids! Together we can create this balance and as a community learn how to do all we can to ensure our kids are safe when it comes to tech! And that’s what Smart Families is all about!
Please mark your calendar for Sept. 11th, 8am and 6pm for a parent training with Dr. Jodi Hunt on Neuroscience, technology and child development. It is going to be incredible to learn from this doctor!
