Genesis 1:1-31
God Creates the Heavens and Earth
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
20 And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Ecclesiastes 1:9
Nothing is New Under the Sun
9 What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)
Jesus Makes All Things New
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
All Things New in Christ
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
When I read about the Genesis of the heaven and the earth and see the oceans, the trees, the sky, and all its beauty, I think God was an Artist....When He created Light on the first day, and gave us night and day, I think God is the Great Cosmologist...When He created the sky and sun, I think God is the Great Physicist...When He created all the plants, I think God is the Great Botanist...God is a Great Artist, Cosmologist, Physicist, Botanist, and The Great Scientist...
When God created the first home in Eden for Adam and Eve, many things in Eden were aged and maybe fully grown...When God created Adam, he was not a child, or at least a baby...God calls Adam man...So Adam and Eve could not have been real young children working the Garden, the way they are described to us...Eden would have to had aged trees and older plant life in paradise with beautiful blossoms of different colors and all the green of older plant life -to show all its beauty...We are not told how old Adam is or Eve is, or how old the trees and plant life are in Eden, but we know they had some age and years in them...Could have some of the trees, plants, and animals been fifty years old, one hundred years old, or older -when God created them?...
Without God, there is nothing new under the sun...The evolutionist has no new information or new data...The Great Artist, Cosmologist, Physicist, Botanist, and The Great Scientist would not do His things at random...He would not be organized about it, and be without a Plan...The True Scientist would have an organized thought and creative process...(For instance, like building a car...One needs to think the process through and have all the chassis, engine, and parts needed to complete the vehicle...)The process of creation took seven days...The act of creation was well thought out and organized...The Grand Creator had a design, a connectivity, to the sun, moon, the sky, gravity, the land, and all the things created in the heavens and earth...He designed earth for man, and home was Eden...God's Plan had forethought, insight, and has a future...The universe is, in fact, intelligently designed, with the Most Brilliant Mind ever behind anything created...Evolution on the other hand only sees randomness, and things happened by chance...Natural selection is the explanation of the evolutionist, and life has no meaning (life just evolves), therefore, with no purpose or future intent...There is no future for the evolutionist, because he has no new information or belief in an eternity -or One outside of time...All the evolutionist can do is find out things about the past universe and its past history -there truly is nothing new under his way of thinking...God, our Creator, gives us a mind, a purpose, and a future...God can provide things we cannot have never seen with our eyes, and give us things our ears have never heard...In the future He will give our minds something they could never imagine...It is called heaven...
And it would be such an omission to leave out the Greatest Part of God's Plan in bringing His Son to us, to tell us the new has come...Jesus showed us the greatest of wisdom in His teachings...He showed us great miracles to prove His Divinity...But the greatest of all, His love for us -dying on the cross for our sins...
God alone can create something out of nothing...When I read of creation, I see great beauty and I see great organization -and I can think of the greatest future -with Him and His Son...
