Step 1: Gather all materials.
Step 2: Cut an empty paper towel tube into 1.5in pieces.

Materials Needed
Empty paper towel tube
Ribbon scraps

Difficulty Level
Easy
Notes for Success
1. Hot glue works best.
2. Younger makers may need assistance with gluing.
3. Typical napkin ring sets have 6 pieces.
Step 1: Gather all materials.
Step 2: Cut thin cardboard into 2 strips. 2in x 7in. I used the cardboard from a case of soda. It is very easy to manipulate.
Step 3: Cover thin cardboard and empty shipping tape roll in white paper. I used the reverse side of wrapping paper scraps so I wouldn't waste paper.
Step 4. Roll thin cardboard in to 2 circles. Make one small and one medium. These will be the head and midsection of the snowperson. The shipping tape roll is the largest.
Step 5: Glue the circles together in a line from smallest to largest to form a snowperson body.
Step 6: Use a ribbon scrap to make a bow or scarf around the neck.
Step 7: Once the glue has dried, place the entire snowperson on another piece of thin cardboard and trace. You should have enough left from the soda case.
Step 8: Cut the traced piece out and glue to the back of the body so that one entire side is enclosed.
Step 9: After the glue has tried, organize desk materials and enjoy!

3. Soda case cardboard works great.
4. Gluing the back is the most difficult part of this making experience.
Step 1: Gather all materials. (If you can't find twigs on the ground, ask before you break them from a tree. If glass jar has any labels on it, remove them with warm soapy water.)
Step 2: Paint the twigs whatever color you like. I used white spray paint.
Step 3: While the twigs are drying, cut strips of thin cardboard to use as hangers for your pictures. Srtips should be about an 1/8th of inch thick and 3 inches long.
Step 4: Fold each strip in half.
Step 5: Glue strip and pic of your family member to top of each plastic lid and set aside to dry.
Step 6: Arrange painted twigs in the glass jar.
Step 7: Arrange the pics on your twigs and enjoy your new picture holder.
