Photoshop Portraits

Research:

In the photograph we can see that one side of the woman's face is normal while the other side looks like its been sketched. I would say that this picture is abstract since this picture has been edited. The photographer faced the light slightly to the right because the catch light in the eye is facing slightly to the person's right and it's very interesting that the eye of the drawing also included a catch light which the photographer utilized to bring life onto the drawing as well as the woman. I believe that the photograph is trying to convey the contrast between a photographer and an artist but I also think that its creating a connection between photographs and sketches.

For this photo the light is positioned slightly left because of the catch light in the eye is in the person's left. The thing I would change is the fact that the strokes go off on a tangent and lessens the detail of the strokes.

Research:

This is a photograph by Sara K. Bryne and shows foliage in the shape of a woman's silhouette. I would say that this photograph is a combination between naturalistic and abstract seeing the leaves gradually leave the silhouette and doesn't form the woman's body. I would say that this photograph represents the beauty inside each person and the shape starting to disappear at the bottom could suggest that the beauty is fleeting.
