Professor Ian Haywood is Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Roehampton and a distinguished scholar of British Romanticism, nineteenth-century print culture, and visual satire. His research focuses on the intersections of literature, politics, and visual culture, with particular interests in political caricature, Romantic illustration, and popular print culture. He is the author and editor of numerous influential books, including Romanticism and Caricature, The Revolution in Popular Literature, and Queen Caroline and the Power of Caricature in Georgian England, and has served as President of the British Association for Romantic Studies (BARS).
