Have you been active in the Democratic Party prior to this election?*
Yes
If you answered yes, briefly explain your activism within the Democratic Party.
I have been a very active member of the Democratic Party and have only voted as a Democrat in primaries. Excluding my time as a judge, I have always assisted with fundraising and campaign initiatives for various democratic candidates.I have served as a deputy registrar, knocked on doors, delivered signs, worked polling locations and promoted party/club slates for local, state, and national candidates since moving to Dallas in 2014.
I have traveled nationally to promote the Harris/Walz campaign; and have campaigned, donated, and raised money for state and US congressional candidates, and I have participated in town hall meetings and grassroots initiatives for many candidates.
I stay engaged with those who have legislative responsibilities as well as those with more local, municipal-focused responsibilities such as city council members, managers, and mayors.
I have traveled to, and been engaged with, the Democratic National Convention and Congressional Black Caucus. I have participated in events with several local democratic clubs and precinct chairs going back to 2016/2017.
Without mentioning your opponent(s) what makes you the best candidate for this position? *
Voters should elect me for this position because I have experience as a judge, have built my career around public service, courtroom leadership, and advocacy for families.
I have litigated in both state and federal courts and represented individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as families and businesses, in complex family law, real estate, and business disputes. Because my judicial position was part-time, I remained actively engaged in private practice, allowing me to view court operations from both the bench and the practitioner’s perspective.
I believe effective judges must remain engaged with the communities they serve in order to understand evolving needs and promote trust in the judicial system. My work has also been recognized by my peers, as well as other nationally recognized professional honors that reflect both legal excellence and professional integrity. These recognitions, coupled with my leadership and judicial experience, demonstrate the confidence the legal community places in my judgment and professionalism.
While experience and credentials are essential, I believe effectiveness as a family court judge is strengthened by community connection, civic engagement, and an understanding of people beyond the case file. I will bring a combination of judicial experience, leadership, peer recognition, and community presence to this court. This is why I am the best candidate for this bench.

Have you been active in the Democratic Party prior to this election?*
Yes
If you answered yes, briefly explain your activism within the Democratic Party.
I am a lifelong Democrat raised in a Democratic household here in Dallas County. I consistently vote in Democratic primaries and general elections and have supported Democratic candidates through block walking, collecting voter signatures, assisting at the polls, and participating in local grassroots efforts. In addition, I have contributed financially to Democratic candidates and causes when able. My professional life in public service—particularly my work at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and on the Dallas County Legacy Family Drug Court—reflects Democratic values of fairness, access to justice, and accountability.
Without mentioning your opponent(s) what makes you the best candidate for this position? *
I bring a rare combination of depth, preparation, and proven service to this role. I am board-certified in Family Law and Child Welfare Law, with decades of experience as a practicing attorney, mediator, and associate judge. I have presided over complex dockets, managed high-volume calendars, and issued timely, well-reasoned rulings that prioritize fairness, efficiency, and due process. My background in public service, including years at Legal Aid and my leadership of a problem-solving court, reflects a consistent commitment to access to justice and thoughtful judicial administration. I am prepared to step into this role on day one with experience, integrity, and a steady hand.
