NOMINATING COMMITTEE

Their job is to evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and give a report to the Official State FFA Convention Delegates. The Committee consists of chapter FFA members, FFA Alumni, FFA Advisors, the immediate Past State FFA President, and an out-of-state FFA Officer.
The Nominating Committee is empowered by the State FFA Advisor to decide the specific time and location of individual officer interviews, held within the time frame published in the State FFA Convention Schedule. All officer candidates must report to the room indicated on the Convention Schedule to await instructions and interview times from the Nominating Committee.

All officer candidates are required to complete a general knowledge exam. Questions on the exam are drawn from the Official FFA Manual and Student Handbook, as well as current local, state and national news events that pertain to agriculture. INTERVIEWS
The Nominating Committee will decide the type of interviews used to select the slate of officers. Potential interviews include, but are not limited to, personal, one-on-one, group, and scenario. All officer candidates are required to complete all interviews requested by the Nominating Committee.
