Each year a select group of members, alumni, and educators are selected to serve on the state nominating committee. This committee is charged with reviewing state officer applications, interviewing and evaluating candidates, and ultimately recommending a slate of officers to the official delegate body. While being selected to serve on the committee is considered an honor by many, it is also a lot of work. Before applying for consideration, please make sure you review the draft convention schedule. Nominating Committee members should not register for any CDE or LDE that is scheduled to take place at the same time as interviews.
Nominating committee selection will be made before March 1. Committee members, as well as their chapter advisors, will be notified of their selection via email.
2026 Information
All candidate interviews will take place during the convention. Please review the draft convention schedule for meeting times and locations. A preliminary Zoom meeting for members of the nominating committee is tentatively scheduled for March 22. Additional information will be sent to students who are selected to serve on the committee.
