Participants can now deposit funds directly to their fundraising page using checks and credit cards. Find instructions here.
Funds submitted through fundraise.LLS.org will update on your fundraising page within 30 minutes of submission
Download My LLS from the app store to monitor fundraising progress, track donations, update your fundraising page, and process donations from your phone!
To get started, search for "My LLS" and install the app. Log in using the same username and password as your fundraising page.
Pro Tip: Plan ahead and collect phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses WELL BEFORE the campaign kicks off!
Letter Writing
Blood Cancer United will print, stuff, and mail all your letters for you!
Use this step-by-step guide to put together your SVOY letter & contact list
Open your team’s Google Drive folder. If you are a candidate, open the “Candidate Folder”. If you are a team member, open the “Team Member” folder. Then open the “Letters & Contact Lists Folder”.
Make a copy of the Contact List and rename the new spreadsheet with your name in the title. EXAMPLE: Hannah Reynolds Contact List.
Enter the names and addresses into your Contact List. Do not change or remove any of the columns in the spreadsheet.
You do not need to complete the “Optional Customizable Merged Fields” section if you write your letter with “Dear Family & Friends” as the salutation/greeting.
Enter your home address in “The Required for Return Address” section.
The “Other Contact Information" section is optional and for your use only. It is a helpful place to track who has or hasn’t donated for follow-up emails, texts and conversations.
Utilize the 40 Contacts in 4 minutes document to help you brainstorm.
Make a copy of the Letter Template and rename the new document with your name in the title. EXAMPLE: Hannah Reynolds Letter.
Enter the following information into your letter:
Your team’s fundraising goal and/or your personal fundraising goal
Your team’s mission pillar
Your reason for participating
Your personal online fundraising page link – please reach out to your staff partner if you don’t know your personal fundraising link
The “Sender Address” is your home address
The “Sender Name” is your name
Add a photo to really make it personal!
Add a QR code to make it easy for you supporters to donate on your online page
To make a QR code, simply go to your online fundraising page in Google Chrome and right click anywhere on the page. Choose the option to create a QR code and download the QR code that pops up.

Share your WHY! Connect people with your passion - MAKE IT PERSONAL. Share facts about Blood Cancer United and your reasons for supporting the cause.
Share your fundraising goal - show that you're doing something big and need their help in a big way!
Set a deadline for donations.
Tell your recipient that their gift is fully tax deductible.
Provide your URL for online donations (supporters tend to donate 20% more online!)

Blood Cancer United should not be abbreviated
Each word should be capitalized in Blood Cancer United
All cancer/disease names should be lower case with a few exceptions:
Hodgkin (ex. non-Hodgkin's lymphoma)
T-cell or B-cell (ex. stage 4 B-cell lymphoma)
Burkitt (ex. Burkitt lymphoma)
