Meet our 2026 Honored Hero: Grady
T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma
10 yrs old
In May of 2022, Grady’s parents took him to urgent care for shortness of breath; immediately getting routed to the ER and then to PICU: he had a collapsed lung due to a mediastinal mass. He spent a week in the hospital, and then about 2.5 years going through T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma treatment.
Upon receiving his diagnosis, his family turned to Blood Cancer United for information, the magnetic calendar, and the “Stars Will Twinkle” book series - a series designed to help families process a cancer diagnosis. They still read the book series, and Grady's little brother recently asked his mom to read it again.
Thank you for being a part of this special community by supporting patients like Grady and their families!
