FROM THE SOUTH

Greetings from the South.

The month of January is almost gone and February fast approaching and the Brothers of Sy Harrison #70 have not been idle. Preparation for the degree on the 26th of January has brothers either knocking off the rust, polishing up or learning a new role, in efforts to put on a quality degree. Degrees take time and effort and yes participation. I have no doubt our lodge will give a fine degree, and want to encourage brothers as more degrees are coming our way that there can be as much value in participating in a degree as reviving one. Opportunities to learn a new part or relearn an old one can strengthen or renew the bonds of friendship and fraternity so come out for practices on Tuesdays and challenge yourself to put your working tools to use.

As we hit February running Worshipful Master Jim Gier is looking to get the lodge on the road to do some visiting. Saturday February 2 is and opportunity to attend the DeMolay officer's installation in Chandler. It is short notice yet could be a good opportunity. Also stay tuned to the Trestle Board and the Master's Newsletter for other opportunities to get on the road with the Brothers of Sy Harrison # 70.

Also brothers, a number of our brothers and their families are having a rough go of it with health issues, surgeries, and other struggles. Please keep them in your thoughts and Prayers.
