once the Newton tornado dissipated, alabama would next be hit with a large rainy wedge. this tornado touched down near Hamilton, Alabama and grew to a large size, thankfully it did mostly just travel through open forest, it grew a lot during its lifetime and scared many people as it worried them that it would hit towns, but it mainly traveled through open forests. but then, the tornado hit southern Haleyville, where it mostly damaged mobile homes and some large businesses. extensive EF3 damage was reported, but no one was hurt nor injured.
