Leaders names are derived from he Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
We have a range of Jungle Book names for our Leaders.
Akela- Chil:
He is the Section Leader who manages the Pack. His name is actually two Jungle Book character names as he wanted to keep his original 1st Chivenor name of Chil - the kite. As he is the main Leader he is the Akela - hence Akela-Chil. He has been an Akela in Kent as well as a Leader in Manchester.
Bagheera:
This is the black panther from Jungle Book. She is a Section Assistant and has been a Beaver Leader and Assistant Cub Leader at 1st Chivenor for many years. She also has been a Leader in Manchester. She is also a member of our Group Executive Committee.
Sona:
She was an Assistant Cub Scout Leader and was once an Akela, and is now our Group Scout leader who oversees the whole Group of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
