Mosaicos I

Un mosaico es una figura plana que se forma uniendo otras figuras planas (llamadas teselas) que se disponen las siguientes condiciones: las teselas son polígonos, se intersecan en un vértice o en un lado completo, su disposición cubre completamente el plano.

Hay dos tipos de mosaico: regular y semirregular. Hay 8 tipos de mosaicos semirregulares y 3 regulares.

-Mosaico regular: todas las teselas son polígonos regulares iguales entre sí. Las teselas son o bien triángulos, o bien cuadrados o bien hexágonos.

-Mosaico semirregular: las teselas son polígonos regulares de más de un tipo, pero todos del mismo lado y son la misma configuración en cada vértice. El número de polígonos en un vértice está entre 3 y 5.

A mosaic is plane figure wich is made up of another plane figures (called tesseras) that have to be polygons,intersect each other by a vertix or a full side and they have to completely cover the plane.

There are two types of mosaics:3 regulars and 8 semiregulars.

-Regulars:the tesseras,all have to be the same between themselves and they can be triangles,squares or hexagons.

-Semirregulars: the tesseras acn be regular polygons of several types,but all of them have to have the same side and the same vertix.In each vertix they can be from 3 to 5 polygons.
